Freind is considered the first English historian of medicine. In 1704 he was appointed to the chair of Chemistry in Oxford and in 1705 went as an army physician to Spain with the Earl of Peterborough. Bookplate of Elmer Belt.

Condition

Vellum a bit bowed and lightly soiled; very good.
