Impressive Chinese hand carved Shoushan stone depicting an immortals mountain scene. Hotei Buddha with immortals and attendants can be seen. A dragon hovers above the crowd. Pagodas, pine trees, stairs, bridges, flowing water and rock formations create the scenery. Republic period or later, 20th century. Includes fitted wooden base. Measures 15 1/2" height + 3 1/4" base height x 12 3/4" width. Total weight of approx. 14.2 kilograms.
