Description
A well engineered 5 inch gauge model of British Railways 4-6-2 tender locomotive 'Britannia', No.70000, built by Mr M. Garner of Beaconsfield, the copper boiler with two water gauges, pressure gauge, safety blower, whistle, injector, clack, blow down valves, piston valves with Walschaert's valve gear, cylinder-head pressure relief valves, cab controls, fluted motion, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump and bypass, injector, brake gear, and boiler washout plug, the locomotive bodywork with smoke deflectors, steps, hand and lamp irons and other details, the tender with riveting, hand feed pump, steps, and hand and lamp irons, finished in British Railways dark green livery, 192cm long, the cab 25cm wide. Boiler History: None available. Note: This model was based on a Winson kit, with further parts supplied by Reeves and other retailers. The model was re-finished by The Engineers Emporium, LA Services Ltd, Warwickshire in 2004 and run on air. It comes with some documented history of the work carried out by the latter.
