[Projet de L®roplane d'Observation] - A unique early 20th century design project folio from a pupil pilot of the Ecole Superieure D®ronautique in Paris, dated 1917/1918, comprising: a proposed design for an aircraft by Leiut. Italo Persegani, an Italian student at the Institute, foolscap sheets of manuscript, text in black ink giving an introductory and explanatory treatise of twenty pages, in conjuction with hand-drawn scale plans entitled 'Vue Generale de L'Appareil' in Indian ink on cartridge paper having hand-annotated measurements, captions, etc. with some colourwash frame details for a two-seater bi-plane with a six-cylinder inline water cooled engine, drawings are signed by Persegani and dated 1918, all contained in the original Ecole folio, an historic document, unpublished and of considerable interest.
