FINE CALIMA ALCARRAZA, ca. 300 - 1300 AD. Burnished red glazed double-spouted vessel with central 'nipples' thought to represent female breasts each side, likely used as a baby feeder though also possibly erotic. 3.5". Intact and rare with a very high quality surface and design. Museum quality!
Provenance: From a large New Jersey collection. Purchased by the current owner from a well known and highly respected Manhattan antiquities dealer in the 1990's.
