A selection of late 19th to mid 20th century silver items, to include a late Victorian nurses buckle, a late Victorian dagger bookmark with mother-of-pearl handle, three brooches, a propelling pencil and a mid 20th century cuff. Five with hallmarks for silver. Cuff with Dutch Assay marks. Total weight 102.6gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Due to the number of items in this lot it is not possible to provide a full condition report. Light to heavy tarnishing. Bookmark with evidence of repair to the handle, handle is slightly loose. Replacement brooch pins. Two brooches with replacement brooch fittings, soft solder. Yellowing to the pastes, differ slightly in hue. Propelling pencil inserted with a modern pencil, slide function appears to be functional. Length of brooches 5 to 2.9cms. Length of buckle 11.4cms. Length of bookmark 10.3cms. Inner diameter of cuff approximately 7.7cms. Cuff with Dutch assay marks for 835 silver.
