Description
1998 $50 Ulysses S. Grant Quarter Pound Silver Proof SCE1939. As-Is Condition! NK351AT. One silver tone 1998 $50 Ulysses S. Grant quarter pound silver proof featuring an expert adaptation of the new $50 Grant Federal Reserve Note. The front features a portrait of Ulysses S. Grant, while the back shows a view of the U.S Capitol. The new design took the U.S Treasury 20 years to develop, and it represents the second redesign of a new series of U.S. banknotes being introduced at the rate of one per year. Appropriately, this quarter-pound silver proof is the size of the original $50 Federal Reserve Note but is much thicker and much heavier. The exclusive minting process took many years to develop and assures the highest proof quality. Composition: .999 pure silver. Weight: one quarter-pound (4 oz. Troy). Condition: Proof. Size: 6" x 2-1/2". Design: from the new U.S. $50 Grant Federal Reserve Note. Mintage limit: 50,000.
