THE JEAN AND GRAHAM DEVOE WILLIFORD CHARITABLE TRUST
Known as 'dean' of Rhode Island illustrators, Frank Marshall was also a landscape painter, silversmith and goldsmith. He was active in Providence, Rhode Island; Cape Ann and Gloucester, Massachusetts; and Boothbay Harbor, Maine where he spent his summers. He studied at the Rhode Island School of Design in the early 1880s, and in Paris in 1885 at the Academie Julian.
Condition
Small hole in paper near right center margin. Possibly some slight time toning. Matted and unframed. Slight paper abrasion upper right corner. Otherwise good condition.
