The top with revolving script revealing large section of school subjects and designs and current images of the time .44 1/2" high
Chautauqua was an adult education movement in the United States, popular in the late 19th and early 20th Century. Named after Lake Chautauqua . President Theodore Roosevelt was quoted as saying Chautauqua is ' the most American thing in America' . Initially started in New York State. One can see the North American Germanic influence.
