1. TRICERATOPS HORN A powerfully built dinosaur weighing several tons of the genus Triceratops. From the Cretaceous Period, this large-skulled herbivore had a bony plate covering the neck, a large horn projecting above either eye, and a smaller horn on the nose. Dug at the Hell Creek Formation in SD, this rare 65 million-year-old nasal horn specimen weighing 12 pounds measures approx 14¾"x5"x5". Resting on a wood base, a remarkable display fossil of natural history. Accompanied by rubber scale model. MB: $1800
