29. DAVID BEN-GURION TLS "D Ben-Gurion" in Hebrew, 1p, 6¼"x8¼", Apr 25, 1949. On State of Israel letterhead Ben-Gurion writes to the Chairman of the Office of Public Relations. In part, "...I, too, feel the need for regular meetings, and I hope that during the next two weeks my work will be put in order, and we will set a time for regular meetings..." The Prime Minister adds a handwritten postscript, "Thank you for the invitation to the bar mitzvah, but I am afraid that I will not be able to join you -- despite my great desire to do so. These days, I am busy over my head, but I will take advantage at the first opportunity, and only if I have the time -- I will ask for...'with honor.'" [Signed] "G.D.B." Receipt stamp at right margin.
