35. [HOLOCAUST] Complete set of Theresienstadt camp money, Jan, 1943. Uncirculated. Mint condition. Denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 Kronen notes. The obverse of note displays a picture of Moses holding the tablets with the Ten Commandments. The Star of David also appears on each note. Theresienstadt was a death camp from which people were shipped to other death camps. It was made a deceitful front for the Red Cross who were shown bakeries and "shops" in which the prisoners were free to spend this "money". The Nazis even went so far as to provide an "orchestra" for the visitors' benefit. MB: $100
