Kennedy Assassination (Nov. 23 and Nov. 24, 1963, including THE WASHINGTON POST with an article “President Kennedy Shot Dead; Lyndon B. Johnson is Sworn In.”) ++ THE EVENING STAR. Washington, June 8, 1965. Front page’s lead article: “Astronauts in Top Condition: Health Beter Than Pilots’ on Shorter Trips…” ++ THE WASHINGTON POST. Mar. 19, 1965. Front page’s lead article: “Soviet Cosmonaut Takes Historic ‘Walk’ In Space.” ++ THE EVENING STAR. Apr. 6, 1964. Front page has lead article “Only Idiots Like War, Khrushchev Asserts: Hits Peking, Johnson Is ‘Reasonable’.” Front page also has article “Court Denies Barnett Suit for Jury Trial: Mississippians Lose Appeal in 5-4 Decision.” Reports on a Supreme Court ruling against Mississippi Governor Ross Barnett, who challenged a conviction for criminal contempt for alleged interference with James H. Meredith’s admission to the University of Mississippi, which had recently been all white. Gov. Barnett had been denied the right to a trial. Lower portion of front page has article “U. S.
