Good lot of five war-date letters on official letterhead and shoulder patches sent by American generals to an admirer, includes MARK W. CLARK, 15th Army, whose letter also descibes the symbolism of the patch and his army's accomplishments of the past few months; GRAVES B. ERSKINE, Third U.S. Marines; ANDREW DAVIS BRUCE, 77th Infantry; CLIFTON B. CATES, 4th Marine Division; and KELLER E. ROCKEY 5th Marine Division. All of the letters have been taped at the margins to larger album pages, but not glued down, with some recent dampstaining.
