Description
(BEN MCCULLOCH)
(1811 - 1862) Confederate brigadier general who organized pro-Confederacy Cherokees under Stand Watie and led forces fighting Lyon's troops at Wilson's Creek. McCulloch was killed by a sharpshooter at Pea Ridge, leading to the Confederate loss of the battle. Document signed on his behalf by his deputy, J. A. H. CLEVELAND, 5pp. legal folio, Galveston, Dec. 5, 1854, an order that a parcel of land be sold in order to satisfy a debt. Very good.
