PAROLED CONFEDERATE PRISONERS ARE GIVEN CLOTHING IN AUGUSTA
Interesting war-date partly-printed D.S., 1p. 13" x 9 1/4", Augusta, Nov. 18, 1864, a requisition for various essential clothing given to "Paroled Prisoners in need of Clothing", signed by the eight prisoners listed. These prisoners, most from Virginia, had fought in nearly every theater. Their places of capture included Gettysburg, Fisher's Hill, Cold Harbor, and Winchester. With extracts of each soldier's records. Long clean horizontal tear partially repaired on verso.
