(b. 1896) American aviator, set multiple distance records including a zig-zag flight of some 11,000 miles from Paris to China in 1935, and took the first aerial photos of Dachau. Her signed book Aerial Vagabond, (New York: Liveright Publishing Corp.), 1941, first edition. 260pp. 8vo. inscribed on the half-title page to the Manager of Floyd Bennett Air Field: "To Ken Behr Happy Landings Bessie Owen". Fine, with tattered dust jacket.
