Collection of six autographs of American aviators: JAMES H. DOOLITTLE (1896-1993), awarded the Medal of Honor in World War II, signed first day cover, "J.H. Doolittle" honoring some of his accomplishments, Sept. 5, 1975, Memphis, Tenn.; CHUCK YEAGER, the first man confirmed to have traveled faster than the speed of sound (1947), signed first day cover, honoring the 50th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, postmarked Dec. 7, 1991; JACQUELINE COCHRAN (1906-80), early aviatrix, two signed first day covers, both illustrated with planes, postmarked Dayton, Ohio, May 29, 1953, and Washington D.C., May 15, 1968; SCOTT CROSSFIELD (1921-2006), X-15 test pilot, signed first day cover, honoring the era of supersonic flight, postmarked Sept. 30, 1996, Edwards, California; and CURTIS E. LEMAY (1906-90), Air Force General, a copy of his 1964 "Physical Evaluation" form signed by him.
