The present offset color print is a poster published on the occasion of the great Jeff Koons exhibition at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin. The presentation revealed a collection of Koon’s high-polished sculptures from the popular series ‘Celebration’ which he has been continued to develop since the early 1990s. The poster depicts a picture of the beautiful sculpture ‘Tulips’.



The color offset print is signed and dated with felt pen upper center ‘J […] 10/24/08’. The sheet is a bit wavy due to transportation. The surface is affected by faint handling marks and rubbed areas. The paper is partly creased along the edges. The image size is equal to the sheet size of 119 x 84 cm.



Jeff Koons (b. 1955)

The US-American artist Jeff Koons is one of the most successful artists of our time. In his art, Koons continually presents himself in and through pictures. His works are characterized by a garish, loud and colorful style which impressively culminates in his monumental stainless steel sculptures that oscillate between the poles of ‘art’ and ‘kitsch’. By doing so, the artist catches up with art historical traditions initiated by personalities such as Marcel Duchamp and Andy Warhol. (cbo)
