A Dutch walnut mantel clock, 18th century and later, the case with gilt metal fret work panels and escutcheons, with a domed top and rectangular carrying handle, the gilded brass dial with cherub spandrels and silvered Roman numeral chapter ring, with twin winding holes and pierced hands, the movement with twin bell striking and twin barrel fusee going train, the verge escapement with bob pendulum, the lavishly engraved backplate with the numbers 'E2T7I ' and ' H Monsh', 34.8cm high
