Diego Giacometti (Swiss, 1902-1985) console rectangulaire, patinated bronze and granite, the rectangular top surmounting the textured verdis patinated base having textured supports conjoind by an X stretcher stamped with script signature 'Diego' (on the lower bar), and rising on circular feet, 34.5”h x 33”w x 10”d, Provenance: The artist, Michael Taylor Designs, The Orosco Family Trust Art Collection, CA. Acquired by the present owner circa 1980-82. In the mid-1970's, the Orosco's purchased the famed Jacuzzi Estate, 4010 Canyon Road, Lafayette, CA. In 1980 they began a major renovation of this property, securing Michael Taylor Designs for interior design and construction consultation. Michael Taylor sold this console to the Oroscos from his personal collection.
