Original label inside reads: Patent October 15th 1872. Works stamped: "Novelty MFG. Co. Boston, Mass." 70% of rear label remains reading "Sectional Steam Engine" with a key to the working and operating parts. This is likely a vertical steam engine model. Case measures 12.5' x 12.5" x 2" overall good working condition, key (or crank) not present. wear to the outside of the case.
