Rare Ukrainian silver gilt reliquary cross, second part of the 18th Century, Christ dead on cross, flanked by the mourning fi gures of the Mother of God, God the Father and Apostle John, the Holly Spirit and Adam`s Skull below, the long side with the instruments of the Passion( realistic interpretation ). All around, baroque vegetal stylized decoration, on the obverse, six mute reserves and original vegetal motive, engraving letters. Impressive exemplar of religious art, at the confluence of Ukrainian Baroque and postByzantine influences, dimensions 38x14 cm, weight 290 g.
