APOLLO XI: A good printed small 8vo menu card for a dinner hosted by the President of Mexico in honour of the three crew members of Apollo XI and their wives at Los Pinos, the official residence and office of the President in Mexico City, 29th September 1969. Boldly signed in black inks to the verso by each of the three crew members individually, Neil Armstrong (1930-2012) American Astronaut, Commander of Apollo XI (1969) and the first man to walk on the moon, Buzz Aldrin (1930- ) American Astronaut, Lunar Module Pilot of Apollo XI (1969) and the second man to walk on the moon, and Michael Collins (1930- ) American Astronaut, Command Module Pilot of Apollo XI (1969). Also signed by Gustavo Diaz Ordaz (1911-1979) President of Mexico 1964-70 in bold red ink with his name alone and by Guadalupe Borja de Diaz Ordaz (1915-1974) First Lady of Mexico 1964-70 in bold blue ink with her name alone. Both the President's signature and that of his wife slightly touch Armstrong's signature. An unusual grouping of signatures dating from just over two months after Apollo XI had successfully landed the first men on the moon. EX €750-1000
