Group of Four Oriental Snuff Bottles, early 20th c., consisting of a pair of polychromed ivory figural emperor and empress examples, a carved ivory example with relief carved scenes, and a greenstone and enamel bottle example, Emperor- H.- 3 1/8 in., W.- 1 in., D.- 3/4 in. (4 Pcs.)
Condition
Conditions consistent with age and use. Carved Ivory: A ¼ chip is noted at the rim, with small losses to the top of the relief carving on both sides. Slight discoloration is observed throughout. Emperor and Empress: Small losses to paint decoration observed throughout. Greenstone: Enameled areas are slightly discolored. A small amount of residue is visible near the base – possible repair. A lovely collection.
