A monumental Sevres style porcelain covered urn surmounted by a domed lid with pineapple finial. Baluster form with applied ormolu mounts to the rim and shoulder. A ground of deepest royal blue. The two large reserves depict Watteauesque scenes of courtship and a castle within a woodland setting. The margins elaborately chased to the surface. The whole supported on an inverted, conical, highly chased foot standing an a quatrefoil bronze base. Signed, "E. Grisard" and marked with a Sevres-style mark in blue. Foot repaired. 49"H, Circa - First half 20th C.
