Description

Egon Eiermann. Sofa/daybed for the German Bundestag, 1968/ 69. H. 74 x 195 x 75 cm. Made by Honeta, in 1968/ 69. Chrome-plated rectangular steel, beige-grey fabric.

Condition

These daybeds had been designed for the former house of the representatives of the German Bundestag ('Long Eugen'). Each office had been furnished with one of these beds. There were around 450 offices. Information on the manufacturer is scarce. Circa half of the production still has its original Honeta paper label.
