Item Details

Description

A very nice gold duck cane. The gold figural handle is 1 7/8" high and 2 1/4" to the side. It depicts a duck with pale yellow glass eyes, detailed feathering, and a smooth beak. (It does not have hallmarks and has not been tested for metal content.) The shaft is blackened hardwood with a 1" horn ferrule. The overall length is 36" and the condition is excellent. Found in England, it was probably made there, ca 1900, and it is a great animal figural example. Estimate: $700-$900.
