Description
An early ivory and malacca cane with round eyelets. The ivory knob is 2" high and 1 1/4" across the top. There is a thin raised ring just below the top, and the ivory has a fine aged patina. There is a 3/4" silver punch-decorated scalloped collar along with round silver eyelets on a malacca shaft that ends with an aged 4" lined brass ferrule. The overall length is 33" and the condition is very good. It is probably English, or colonial American, ca 1725, and it is a great early example. Estimate: $1000-$1500. This lot is subject to shipping restrictions outlined in Terms and Conditions.
