Description
An interesting wood cane of an oriental man with boots for a ferrule. The wood handle is 4" high and 2" at its widest. It depicts the detailed face of an oriental man with a woven silk loop protruding from his head for storage. The man has black-painted hair and moustache, and red-painted lips. There is a thin horn separator on a malacca shaft with small oval silver eyelets. The stick terminates with a horn ring and a 2 1/2" pair of carved wood boots as a ferrule. The overall length is 41" and the condition is very good. It is English, fashioned sometime in the 20th Century and it is a very unusual example. Estimate: $500-$700.
