A hardbound copy of Cane Curiosa, From Gun to Gadget, by Catherine Dike. Long considered to be the very best resource for gadget or system canes, it is now out of print and is becoming more and more scarce. It was first published in French as Les Cannes Systeme in 1982 and then English in 1983. This version is in English. The late Catherine Dike was considered by many to be the leading authority in the field of antique walking canes. Her tireless research is reflected in the quality of all of her books, and Cane Curiosa should hold a proper place in any serious collector's library. This copy is in very good condition and is from the fine collection of Susan E. Kreh. Estimate: $350-$550.
