Description
The McClellan saddle was a riding saddle designed by George B. McClellan. McClellan saddles were adopted by the Army in 1858 and were derived, with modification, from the Grimsley saddle. The original stirrups for the saddle were bent wood with leather hoods. The saddle does not have stirrups. This is a 11 inch seat. Marked "H.W.D."
