Description
An Egyptian light blue glass amulet of the goddess Ma’at, Late New Kingdom - 3rd Intermediate Period, c. 1279 - 712 BC, seated with a feather at the top of her head. Amulets in glass are extremely rare and this example is quite nicely preserved with good color and incised details, suspension hole through sides of the feather. H: 1 ½ in (3.8 cm). Intact. Ex Negus Collection, UK, acquired in the early 20th Century.
