Description
An Egyptian steatite oval plaque with cartouche of Thutmose III, New Kingdom, c. 1570 - 1075 BC, the cartouche containing the prenomen of the king, ‘Men-Kheper-re’ between feathers, a gold sign below. The opposite side is decorated with the standing god Horus, winged solar disk above. L: ¾ in (1.9cm), W: ½ in (1.4cm). Intact, longitudal suspension hole. Ex Wiltshire, England private collection.
