Description
An exceptional Moche III bottle from Peru, ca. 200 – 450 AD. This superb red-ware stirrup vessel is 8 in high and is elaborately decorated with stingrays painted in black and white over the red slip. The designs are segmented to create a four-pointed star pattern. Intact, beautifully burnished, good mineral deposits. Ex Pachenko collection.
