Item Details
Description
A small Edwardian silver cream jug with lobed decoration to the lower body, hallmarked Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd., London 1901. Together with a late Victorian pierced silver trinket dish (a.f), a pair of silver open salts of oval form, one missing glass liner, hallmarked Birmingham 1912, a silver tea strainer, Sheffield 1913, a small mother of pearl handled scoop and a mother of pearl box with metal mounts. Weighable silver 5.1 ozt (158.6 grams).
Condition
In varied state, all the pieces in the lot displaying general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use and to varying degrees. The trinket dish is in very poor condition with numerous splits, breaks and losses. Small dints to the circular rim of the tea strainer. Small holes/splits along a seam line of the mother of pearl box. Knocks and dints to salts and both wobble when in standing position. The hallmarks, where present, are mainly clear and legible.
