Description
A selection of Georg Jensen silver Acanthus pattern spoons to include two dessert spoons, four small teaspoons, a single coffee spoon, a bouillon soup spoon, two sugar spoons, two small serving spoons and a large pastry server. Various maker's marks including the pair of dessert spoons and two teaspoons with maker's mark for 925 silver alongside the Three Towers mark (dates for 1932 and 1933) and Assay Master mark for Johannes Siggaard, other spoons mainly with the maker's mark circa 1933-1944 or the post 1945 mark. Combined weight 16.27 ozt (506 grams).
Condition
All the spoons in the lot display general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Heavier staining and tarnishing to some, especially one of the teaspoons and the bouillon spoons. Elastic band marks to the handle of the larger server. Some heavier contact marks and little nicks visible to some, especially to bowls and edges. All the bowls have faired quite well. Maker's marks are all legible.
