An early twentieth century cased pair of fish servers, with plain ivory handles decorated with a family crest, hallmarked Martin, Hall & Co., Sheffield 1921, ferrules hallmarked 1919. Together with a cased pair of continental fish servers, stamped 800 to each handle. (2).

Both pairs display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with their age and use. The silver blade and fork of the Sheffield pair are quite heavily tarnished and would benefit from a clean and polish. Heavier wear around edges and to the tips of the blade and fork prongs but they have generally faired quite well. Some cracks in the ivory handles. The hallmarks are clear and legible. On the continental pair, the fork and blade are gold tone, however this is now quite faded on the blade and rust is visible to both. A number of heavier scratches and little nicks and dints to both handles. Gaps between handles and fork/blade sections and the filling is visible.
