MEM Two black and white photographs of Elvis Presley taken by William Speer in 1954 during Elvis`s first professional photo shot. Gelatin silver prints, hand printed and backed on card, one featuring Speer`s signature "Wm. Speer T". The first photo is a close-up of Elvis's face, the second one is a head and shoulders photo of Elvis wearing a white jacket. Both overall approx. size 20 x 16". NEITHER signed by Elvis. These photographs come from the first set of professional shots taken of Presley, who was 19. His manager Bob Neal sent Presley to Speer's studio in Memphis to have photos for launching his singing career. These pictures come from the last batch of photographs printed by Speer and come from his Estate. Minor edge wear, particularly at corners. This lot also comes with Speer's original cardboard suitcase, approx. size 54 x 42cm.Viewing highly recommended.
