Second half 19th century, rectangular with serpentine front, the double-hinged lid with gilt metal molding and inlaid with strapwork borders surrounding a shaped panel centered by a plaque monogrammed ''BCR'', over conformingly inlaid, hinged sides enclosing a rosewood-lined interior fitted with a rack holding four glass decanters with stoppers (each 8'' H) and 10 liqueur glasses (each 3.25'' H), raised on gilt-metal ball feet, 10.75'' H x 13.25'' W x 10'' D, est: $1000/1500
Condition
Overall good condition. Scattered minor marks and scratches. Bottom left corner of front with a .75'' x .25'' loss to veneer. Bottom right corner of front with a .5'' x .125'' loss to veneer adjacent to a .75'' x .325'' repair. Lacking two liqueur glasses. An additional .25''-diameter loss to veneer on left side panel. Some sun fading to veneer. One decanter with a fleabite nick to interior edge of mouth. Monogrammed, as stated.
