First edition in Greek and first separate edition in Latin.The primary source of Proclus' biography. Presentation copy from the editor J.A. Fabricus, inscribed in the lower right corner of the title-page. This is the chief work of Marinus of Neapolis, the fifth century Neoplatonist philosopher, being a biography of Proclus Lycaeus, one of the last major Classical philosophers, of whom Marinus was both a student and successor as the head of his school in Athens. This is the first separate edition -  It was first published with the works of Marcus Aurelius in 1559.

Scuffing to spine and extremities, front joint tender; title-page with repaired tear, soiling to a few leaves within, very good.
