Important Pre-columbian Teotihuacan Standing Stone Dignitary Figure from Mexico, ca. 250-500 A.D. Carved from a green schist, depicting a standing male wearing a Skirt and shirt with hands held to his side. Well defined facial features with mouth ajar, rectangular shaped ears and almond-shaped eyes. Traces of red cinnabar still present. Rare form. A similar example was sold at Binoche et Giquello for 320 000 €. This piece will include authentication papers from Stoetzer's Inc. of Miami, Florida. Stoetzer's is by far the leading and most respected in the field of authentication. They do authentication for auction houses and museums such as Sotheby's and Christies.
