American Dated 1795 Wood Canteen in original Paint with carved initials and date; EW/1795 on each side, stave construction with bent hickory bands, and carved square bung hole at top, with wonderful wear patterning to the blue/green paint; 3.75" wide x 6" diameter. Found in Southwestern Ohio, and perhaps associated with the Treaty of Greenville, of the same date.
