Watercolor of French Soldiers, laid on paper. Depicts two soldiers from different regiments wearing uniforms current during the American Revolution, one with a pike and second with musket and sword. Inscription block at bottom Regiment Imperial/&Bagny/Grenatier et Oficier Gar. Painting appears to be an original illustration for a book on French military uniforms. Painting 8 x 13.25"; matted and in modern gilt frame, 11.4 x 16.6".
Very slight even toning of paper, EXC.
