Society of Cincinnatus Gold Tiffany Medal, ca 1900 version of this important society metal, likely made for direct descendants of Washington's Officer Corps. A double-sided spread-winged eagle with green enameled laurel wreath arched above head, talons clutching green enameled arrows and olive branch, tail and neck feathers in white enamel and ruby carbuncles for eyes; oval medallion center with people standing in front of log home enameled in blue and green with white surround and inscription Omnia Reliquit Servare Rempublicam; appears to be 18 karat gold; weight with white and pale blue silk attached pinback ribbon is .665ozt. or 20.7g. Housed in original silk-lined, leather-covered, wooden-hinged box marked on silk Tiffany & Co./New York/Paris-London; medal is 1.25" wide x 1.8" high; with ribbon 3.75" long; box is 2.75" x 5".
