American Militia Rifleman's Cap Plate, ca 1825 [Campbell & Howell, figure 117]; rare shield-shaped die-stamped brass plate with eagle in flight clutching in beak a ribbon bow and tassels, attached to hunters horn; plume socket on verso missing; 4.75" wide x 6.2" high.
Very slight dents and .4" crack right edge, still VG.
