Souvenirs from Ships Captured by Commander Perry, lot of 2; includes fragment of wood, mounted to paper with sewn string (broken free) with the following inked inscription: Piece of the British Ship Detroit Captured by Com. Perry in the celebrated battle on Lake Erie, Sept. 10 1813, with blind stamp in upper left of crossed keys and Treasury; wood is 2.5" x 1.25"; AND second matching card with fragment of iron with inscription: Piece of a Cannon captured by Com. Perry from the British Flag Ship Queen Charlotte in the naval battle on Lake Erie, Sept. 10, 1813. The Cannon now Stands in a park in Cleveland Ohio; fragment is approx. 1" long.
