DESCRIPTION: This is a dovetailed English copper tea kettle circa 1800s. The fine dovetailing on the English copper tea kettle is on the bottom and back of the kettle and the seams are brazed using molten brass like glue for a perfect seam (see photos). The English copper tea kettle has a riveted bronze extensions extending from the copper grip. The English copper tea kettle has a wide rolled handle. There is a detailed acorn finial on the lidded top of the English copper tea kettle. This English copper tea kettle pours with a nice strong stream and is clean inside. There is a copper rim that circles the opening of the tea kettle. The inside of the English copper tea kettle is tin lined and free from corrosion. The entire body of the tea Kettle is made of copper and has a beautiful curved goose-neck pouring spout. MEASUREMENTS: 14 ½ inches long, 8 inches wide at bottom, and 30 inches in circumference.
