Eight woodcuts created by the artist Paul Konrad Henich (not signed), for Rilke's story, in an original portfolio. An additional woodcut is mounted on the portfolio (signed in pencil) on which the title has been printed.
Prof. Paul Konrad Henich (1907-1997), artist, researcher and educator. Studied in the academies of Vienna, Florence and Paris. Made Aliya to Eretz Israel in 1935, following the rise of the Nazis into power, and founded in Haifa the "Art Studio - Haifa".
Portfolio: 25 cm. Slightly torn. Overall good condition. Spots.
Bibliographically unknown. It is most probably a self-publication.
