DESCRIPTION: This is a decorated redware pitcher from southeastern Pennsylvania circa 1820s. The decorated redware pitcher is hand thrown and highly decorated. The redware pitcher boasts yellow, red, and green slip. The slip is of a trailing winding vine with leaves and a stylized flower design. The decorated redware pitcher is large in size with a rolled rim lip and a large wide decorated applied handle. The decorated redware pitcher is heavy weighing 4 pounds. The decorated redware pitcher has no cracks or hairlines. MEASUREMENTS: 11 inches high, 9 ½ inches wide, and 26 inches round in circumference.
